I dreamed that, without knowing how, I had arrived in the heavenly Jerusalem. A venerable old man received me very lovingly at the gate and led me to the temple of the Lord to show me all the remarkable things within. I came into a large hall where I found a bookcase. So, as was my habit, I reached for a book to examine it. As soon as I opened it, I found on the title page the title of a Kabbalistic book long known to me by name, and beneath it the name Jehovah in large letters. I leafed further through it and everywhere found sacred names and passages from the Bible explained in the Kabbalistic manner. This put me in a state of mind composed of astonishment, reverence and joy. I then had more scenes of this kind, but could not remember them on waking.
