Your free Vedic birth chart.
Explore your sidereal placements, Lagna, nakshatras and bhavas. Enter your recorded birth details to open an interactive North or South Indian Rashi chart, with readings for each placement. No account is required; your chart is temporary.
This public calculator uses Astronomy Engine with a mean Lahiri ayanamsha approximation, mean lunar nodes and Whole Sign houses. Saved charts use Swiss Ephemeris. Birth-time uncertainty and calculation methods can change a placement near a boundary. If your time is unknown, start with the Vedic guidebook.

How does a Vedic chart differ from a Western chart?
This chart uses the sidereal zodiac. A mean Lahiri ayanamsha adjusts the calculated planetary longitudes from the tropical reference used by the Western chart. The chart shows the method and ayanamsha value, so you can compare like with like. Neither tradition is a scientific assessment of personality or a prediction.
What are Lagna, Rashis and bhavas?
Lagna is the sidereal rising sign; a Rashi is a zodiac sign, and a bhava is a house. In this Whole Sign chart, the Lagna sign is the first house and the following signs supply houses two through twelve. Lagna and houses require a recorded birth time and birthplace; the calculator does not invent them when time is unknown.
How do I explore the chart?
Choose North Indian or South Indian layout, then select a graha or lunar node on the map or in the placement list. North Indian houses stay fixed while sign numbers change; South Indian signs stay fixed. Both layouts show the same calculated placements, with nakshatra, pada and house explanations alongside them.
Which methods and techniques are included?
The public tool uses Astronomy Engine, an approximate mean Lahiri ayanamsha, mean Rahu/Ketu and Whole Sign houses. It includes classical whole-sign drishti from the seven classical grahas; node aspects are omitted because conventions differ. Outer planets are identified as modern adjuncts. It does not calculate dashas, divisional charts or Vedic compatibility. Saved charts use Swiss Ephemeris, and small engine differences can matter at sign, nakshatra or pada boundaries.
