A burglar came into my house and stole Mother's money. He stuck a knife into me, and I dreamt that he had shot another boy after he had killed me.

Source & context

Brief infant-school quotation; oral versus written route not assigned to this case. Whole printed example, not an unedited child-written dream log. Kimmins compiled anonymous historical child reports. The youngest reports were mostly individually told to head mistresses, with a few seven-year-old written accounts; this source does not identify the recording route for each example. Kimmins admits memory gaps, filling in, omissions, fusion with waking material and secondary elaboration. Ages and historical school descriptions are source labels, not modern diagnoses or proof of authenticity. The compiler acknowledges secondary elaboration and fusion with waking material; this is not an independently authenticated untouched child-written log.

Anonymous historical child’s reported dream (Anonymous historical child, age five in the surrounding section), in C. W. Kimmins (compiler), Children’s Dreams (Longmans, Green and Co., 1920), Printed p. 39. Original English historical printed account via Internet Archive. Editorial title and navigation metadata added by Synastry; original source wording, uncertainty and paragraph divisions retained after scan-confirmed OCR repair. Not a modern Synastry community submission.

No exact dream date inferred from relative dates, historical collection periods or later-event claims; publication year is not dream date.
