I dreamt that I was lost in one of the busy parts of London. I was walking towards a policeman to enquire of my whereabouts, when I became suddenly surrounded by vehicles of all sorts. By dodging between them, I at last reached the policeman who told me I was in Fleet Street. The rolls of paper which I saw afterwards, confirmed his statement. I went into a tube station, and asked the booking clerk if there were trains to Kennington, as I had enough money for the fare. The booking clerk answered in the affirmative, and I travelled as far as the Oval by train and walked the rest of the way home. I then awoke.
Source & context
London locations are printed historical story settings, not a modern child’s address. Published historical reported dream: the compiler acknowledges secondary elaboration and fusion with waking material; this is not an independently authenticated untouched manuscript.
