More than your birthday number.
Your Birthday Number comes from the day of the month. Life Path brings together month, day and year, so two people born on the same calendar day can have different Life Paths.
For example, January 8, 2000 becomes month 1, day 8 and year 2. Adding them gives 11, which this method preserves as the master number 11/2.
Why calculators sometimes differ.
Synastry reduces each date component separately and retains 11, 22 and 33 at every stage. A calculator that sums all digits in one pass may show a different intermediate compound or master result. The calculation above makes this choice visible.

Do I need my birth time or birthplace?
No. This calculation uses your Gregorian civil birth date only. It does not convert your birthday between time zones.
What are master numbers?
In the Pythagorean convention used here, 11, 22 and 33 remain intact instead of being immediately reduced to 2, 4 and 6. The underlying root is shown after a slash.
Does a name change my Life Path?
No. A name changes name-derived values such as Expression, Soul Urge and Personality. Your Life Path stays attached to the birth date.
