I was at the beach near my house, it was hot. I had a my dog with me. I walked down to the water and noticed it rising. I had to get back to my car. It was foggy but hot. Thinking it would be okay I took left my dog in the hot car with the windows rolled up. I didn't think it would get warm enough to hurt him. I had to get to work but I didnt have to be there for hours so I found a quiet place to sit by the sea and start my morning. As I was I was sitting there my subordinate came in and asked me what I was doing and why I was there. I told him I was there waiting to start work. He told me to leave and that I really couldn't set my own schedule. I wasnt setting my own schedule I was waiting to start. He also told me I couldn't be there, they were in the middle of an audit. I told him that I was involved in the audit and I was the lead in the audit. Shortly after that on of the interns came in the room. He was also giving me attitude. Suddenly all of the department heads were in the room except for our executive director. All of them were discussing my work habit saying I was unethical, non would listen to reason and I was getting very upset. One of the department heads was a construction guy who was questioning my accounting background. He was trying to test my knowledge which pissed me off even more. He asked me what EPS and how to calculate the EPS then asked me another question. The other question term was a made up questions. I was becoming increasingly agitated. I couldnt get out of the room fast enough. I dont answer to subordinates or interns and I certainly dont need to defend my accounting knowledge to a construction guy. I was out and back in open. It was really hot outside. I remembered that I left my dog in the car.
