Survey and Dream Reports of Visitors to an Online Dating Website (N=1,035) (2022) · Dream Reports.pdf, PDF page 69, Reference ID 7028759

I was somewhere in my hometown. I run into my ex-boyfriend, and he comes up to me and puts his arms around me. Like we're still dating. When I pull away from him, he asks me what's wrong. I tell him that we broke up almost 3 years ago. And he says yeah, but we got back together. And then I start freaking out because I know we didn't. I talk to my friend about it, and she confirms that we did break up, but we got back together. And that's when I know I'm dreaming. But in the dream, I can't get away from him. No matter what I do, he's always there. Then he proposes to me, which is when I wake up, almost screaming.
