Ero in guerra, in una zona un po' desertica ma con delle montagne. Ero un pilota di un aereo stile commerciale, ma militare. Insomma, non un jet. Eravamo soprattutto una base militare, ero in compagnia di altri soldati, ma stavamo lì a chiacchierare e a fumare alla base.

Source researchers verified transcripts, redacted identifying names/places, pruned commentary and false starts/repetitions, normalized punctuation/spelling/regionalisms and spelled out numbers. No local prose edits, translation, trimming or new redaction; all released whitespace and [NAME]/[PLACE]/[INSTITUTION]/[MISS] markers retained.
