Dovevo organizzare una cena in cui ci sarebbero state mia mamma e delle altre persone in un palazzo molto grande, un palazzo gigantesco, antico e la tavola sarebbe stata rotonda. E come cena ci sarebbe stata della carne, molto frollata, molto costosa. Tanto è vero che l'avevo ricevuta in anticipo e me la stavo portando in giro quasi massaggiando, sentendomi un po' in colpa per l'animale. Volevo familiarizzare, insomma, con la carne, in modo da rendere onore a questo pezzo di carne costosissimo. E mentre camminavo, appunto, per il corridoio con questo pezzo di carne, arrivavano delle persone incontro che non conoscevo, ma sembravano persone molto importanti, di un certo livello. E scoprivo che sarebbero venute a mangiare alla nostra stessa tavola, quindi cercavo anche di fare amicizia con loro, rendendomele amiche. C'era questa signora straniera che non si sentiva molto a suo agio a parlare italiano, voleva avere la massima attenzione, in modo da potersi esprimere meglio. Era molto alta, molto bella e vestita tutta quanta di bianco, che chiedeva appunto di essere seduta a capotavola.
