Exam instructions switch languages while my question goes misunderstood

Stavo in classe con alcuni colleghi del dottorato. In questa classe c'era un professore che stava parlando e ci stavamo organizzando per fare un esame, quindi stavamo parlando della modalità d'esame. A un certo punto, c'era una ragazza tedesca che non capiva perché stavamo parlando in italiano. E quindi in quel momento il professore ripete quello che stava dicendo in inglese, ma poi continua a parlare in italiano. E dopodiché ci dice che è possibile fare l'esame facendo una presentazione e quindi io gli chiedo quanto tempo dura questa presentazione. Glielo chiedo in inglese, ma lui non mi capisce, e quindi poi mi spiega anche il motivo per cui non mi ha capito.

Exact released txt_cleaned string decoded from the public MATLAB MCOS UTF-16LE string array. Source researchers verified transcripts, redacted identifying names/places, pruned commentary and false starts/repetitions, normalized punctuation/spelling/regionalisms and spelled out numbers. No local prose edits, translation, trimming or new redaction; all released whitespace and [NAME]/[PLACE]/[INSTITUTION]/[MISS] markers retained.
