Sensibilité externe. — « Je rêve, une nuit, que ma veilleuse fume ; je m’éveille, j’aspire à pleins poumons, je ne sens rien et je me rendors, persuadé que je n’ai fait que rêver. Au bout d’une heure, cependant, je suis réveillé de nouveau par l’âcreté d’une fumée devenue très sensible. J’avais donc éprouvé durant le rêve de mon premier sommeil des perceptions de l’odorat beaucoup plus fines qu’à l’état de veille. »
