Traum: Ein Hof, etwa Quaiviertel; Baumwollhaus;― ein Herr mit grauem Vollbart, Chef, ungefähr supponirter Vater oder Mann von Charl. Pflaumenbaum (1887 ― deren Tochter ich im vorigen Frühjahr kennen lernte); geleitet mich im Aufzug hinauf: ― ein schmales Brett, ohne Geländer, blicke mich nicht um, aus Angst vor Schwindel; über einen ledernen Divan ins Büro;― alte appretirte Kleider, Commis; ein Anzug 1300 Kronen, billig, soll ich einen kaufen ― ? nächstes Zimmer ungeheure Knäuel Seide; eines leuchtend grün;― nun ist das Haus eigentlich am „Hof“.― Dann bei Tisch; ich ärgre mich über Heini, er verbirgt sich humoristisch unterm Tisch. „Warum schreist du so!“ Ich werfe ihm wüthend einen Haufen Banknoten an den Kopf.―
