Träume u. a.: Ich soll zum Vicebürgermeister von Wien gewählt werden, bin im Rathaus, aber in kurzer Pepitahose und blauem Rock, endlich sagt mir jemand, ich müsse doch lange Hosen nehmen, ich eile wohin? … irgendwie spielt der innre Burghof hinein; wieder im Rathaus, der erste Vicebürgermeister, früher Bürgermeister (ich bin zweiter V. B.) sagt mir auf meine Frage, Sitzungen seien am 23. und 24. jeden Monats („Weihnachten“ denke ich) ― von ½11 (Generalproben Beginn vis à vis Burgtheater!) bis spät Abend; ich bedenke unbehaglich, wie ich mich gegenüber antisemitischen Pöbeleien benehmen soll. Der erste V. B. sieht entfernt Stadtrath Speiser ähnlich (den ich im Burgth. kennen lernte). Im Rathaus hängt über einem Seitengang, wie Aufschrift zu einem Departement große Tafel „Horthy“ (der ungarische Verweser), in einer großen Vorhalle ein ältrer Herr mit Cigarre, sowie ein Mädchen. Der Traum so lebhaft, daß noch in den ersten Sekunden des Wachseins der Gedanke meiner Vicebürgermeisterschaft mich bedrückt.―
