Dann: an einem Roulettetisch;― ich habe 1000 Kronen (in Friedenswerth) verloren,― schwanke ob ich noch setzen soll,― die beiden Sätze verlor ich auf schwarz, will roth setzen,― da merk ich,― indem der Croupier eine halbe Semmel aufhebt ― daß schwarz kommt, ich könnte noch setzen, aber scheue vor der Unehrlichkeit zurück,― der Croupier beziffert meine Schuld auf 1032 Kronen, ich sage ärgerlich. Warum nicht einfach 1000! Der Croupier hat einen Vollbart, die übrigen (wenigen) Mitspieler bleiben unsichtbar.
