Um 6 auf meinem Liegefauteuil einschlafend wunderbare Musik ― wußte, es wären nur die subject. Geräusche;― doch beglückten sie mich;― ich träumte zugleich ― es sei 6 Uhr früh und ich könnte mich nochmals niederlegen;― denn ich ging in einem dunkeln Hotelzimmer auf und ab. Im Zimmer daneben wußt ich O.;― die Thür zum Balkon war offen ― draußen unsichtbar ein Stubenmädchen („Gretchen“?),― und die Nacht. Dann stand auch die Thür zu einem kleinen Zimmer offen ― der kleine Waschraum vom Burgring …― Während der (orchestralen) Musik wußt ich zugleich, dass ich sie eigentlich componirt.―
