QUADRANTS
3rd Quadrant
The 3rd Quadrant groups the 7th, 8th and 9th Houses: partnership, shared commitments, and wider perspectives.
The idea in context
Encounter and perspective · Houses 7–9.
MAKE IT CONCRETE
An example to picture
Two planets in the 7th House and one in the 9th House make 30%, but that distribution differs from three planets in the 8th House.
How to read it
Separate the specific house topics and planetary functions before combining them into a relationship-and-perspective theme.
A common misunderstanding
The share cannot predict relationship success, intimacy or a partner’s behavior. It is a distribution within a symbolic chart.
BRING IT BACK TO YOUR LIFE
A question to sit with
What might you learn by listening to another perspective while keeping your own boundaries clear?

A reflection lens
The 7th, 8th and 9th Houses connect partnership, shared commitments and wider understanding. Reflect on how encounters with others invite negotiation, trust and a broader perspective.
What the graph measures
Synastry groups the 1st–3rd, 4th–6th, 7th–9th and 10th–12th Houses. Each core planet counts once, and the percentage is its group’s share of the counted planets. A larger bar means more placements, not more power or a better life. Empty quadrants are not missing abilities.
Use the selected house system
This graph follows the actual calculated house numbers. House changes can change its counts. In Equal or Whole Sign charts, these three-house groups need not coincide with the four exact angle-bounded sky sectors. Without reliable house geometry, no quadrant percentage is inferred.
