South Node
The South Node is opposite the North Node and symbolizes familiar responses or established capacities that may need rebalancing.
The idea in context
The South Node is the exact descending antipode of the True North Node. Astrological tradition uses it to reflect familiar patterns, established capacities, and material that may need rebalancing.
MAKE IT CONCRETE
An example to picture
Solving every problem yourself may be a real strength that also makes it harder to accept help.
How to read it
Compare both ends of the nodal axis and ask how an existing strength can support a new response.
A common misunderstanding
Familiar patterns are not automatically harmful, and the South Node is not a list of traits to discard.
BRING IT BACK TO YOUR LIFE
A question to sit with
Which familiar response serves you, and when might it be useful to choose another?

Core themes
familiarity · capacity · rebalancing
Constructive expression
This function may become more usable through using established capacities as a foundation rather than an automatic refuge.
When under pressure
A pattern worth observing is repeating competence after its context has changed or dismissing unfamiliar growth. This is a possibility for reflection, not a fixed trait.
Integration practice
One grounded practice is to keep the skill while releasing the reflex.
