Go deeper: the full reference
Upright meaning
Strength describes courage expressed through patience and steady self-command. You can acknowledge a powerful feeling without letting it dictate the next action.
Reversed meaning
Self-doubt or a harsh demand to stay composed may be making a difficult moment harder. Replace suppression with a manageable response, and allow support to be part of your strength.
Read it in a spread
In Situation, ask where courage is visible now. In Tension, examine its limits or a competing need rather than treating the card as a negative verdict. In Next step, choose a small response using Strength as a prompt. The position changes the question; it does not make the card a prediction.
A question to sit with
How might calm persistence accomplish what force cannot?
