Exaltation and debilitation
Uchcha and Neecha describe traditional conditions of a graha; they are not rankings of a person as elevated or deficient.
Uchcha (exaltation)
An exalted graha is traditionally described as able to express a refined or heightened form of its function. Context still determines whether that expression is useful.
Neecha (debilitation)
A debilitated graha may require greater adaptation, support, or conscious development. It is not broken, immoral, or a guarantee of failure.
Cancellation and modification
Neecha Bhanga and related modifications require an exact, school-specific rule set. They must be detected from chart facts rather than inferred from one sign label.
