What the Vedic settings change
Ayanamsha and node mode change calculated positions; North- and South-Indian styles change layout only.
Ayanamsha
The ayanamsha establishes the sidereal zero point and can change a graha’s Rashi, nakshatra, pada, or exact degree near a boundary.
Mean or true nodes
Mean Rahu smooths the lunar-node motion mathematically; true Rahu follows its instantaneous oscillation. Ketu is the exact antipode under either policy.
Chart style
North- and South-Indian Rashi charts arrange the same verified signs, Bhavas, and placements differently. Switching style does not recalculate the sky.
